Scalextric 1/24th TrackWe started work today on a Scalextric Super 124 track, which will be used at the Slot Fest to demo / test the range of Scaleauto & BRM 1/24th scale cars.
The track will have individual lane power and will also demo DS stop / go boxes and lap counting. Tru-speed controllers will be used.
Steve Hills from Tru-speed will also be on the stand to talk about his range of controllers.
Cincy Slots Cars
Scalextric 124 track is now very difficult to obtain and very few clubs use it. as far as I know there are no clubs in the UK and very few in Europe still using it. This track was purchased only recently having been in storage for several years since the closure of Crofton Racing Circuit on the south coast.
The track will be larger than the one pictured but we wanted to put together a test circuit. The track is as the title suggests 'super'. Considering that Scalextric 124 was only produced for a very limited period in the early 1970s, the track worked 1st time with no major problems. The texture gave good grip levels whilst allowing for non mag cars to drift controllably.
